Enola Gay and Modern Times

65 years have passed since the evil sputum of Enola Gay wiped out an entire city . 6th & 9th August 1945 marked the two darkest days of human 'civilization'. Little boy & Fat Man were two conspiracies of Satan to expose mankind to early apocalypse . Those atomic red eyes should have acted as a neon light signaling to regain our sanity. But  65 years hence , seeing the condition of today's world , Enola Gay would probably be confused to choose a worthy successor. There are so many nominations ! Far from making the world a better place for tomorrow's child , we and our so called leaders have done nothing but bringing it even closer to the brink of extinction. The biggest threat to the peaceful existence of us , they say , is terrorism. But all our effort of eroding terrorism aimed at burning down this malevolent tree but we never realize in the final hours before death , this tree of terrorism will emit thousands of seeds which will be impossible to trace out. And soon they'll get nutrition from the soil and start the vicious cycle all over again . So, the only way to kill this carnivorous tree is to make the soil completely unfriendly for it to grow. Thus the solution to terrorism is not military but economical , political and social . The joker will be always there to unleash the creatures of the dark on our planet but if we lose our sanity due to trepidation , we'd but make the joker's dream come true.

Talking about Joker , the people on whom the duty to "lead" this planet rest, have made the grave issue of climate change a complete joke. I wonder what deadly kind of mass myopia must they have been suffering from, not to see the fact that the joke is on US : the fate of the entire mankind is at stake. The word sustainability generates 33,000,000 results in Google search. It's the favorite word of PHD aspirants of any field. We humna beings are good at contemplating , but when it comes to taking initiatives and implementing those concepts , we become strangely reluctant. May be , we're just not ready for the ambiguity that those new systems can bring. We're afraid that the cost might be huge , but we are forgetting that the cost wont be as huge as Eifel Tower , Statue of Liberty and Tajmahal being 10 (000. . . ?) feet under (water). Because , we are the generation who have to do some minor sacrifices or else the entire future generation(s) to come will be sacrificed in the alter of climate change.

Thus, let us , on this intermission of Little Boy to Fat Man, take a pledge that we'd take responsibility . We'd B-E-L-I-E-V-E that WE can make the change. It's NOT an issue which is beyond our reach. The small deductions in each of our Carbon Footsteps , the small changes in each of our mindsets when it comes to think green ; will make all the differences . We've done before , let's do it once again for the sake of our unborn grand-children . Let's make sure that there will never be another victim of Enola Gay in this planet !
